In school/on site programs
The challenges are real and integrity is crucial.
Community Building Your school is as much a community as any other. Our goal is to create that sense of what is possible through cooperation, communication and support. Each session is packed with fun activities that bring actions to words like: Compassion, Respect, listings and many more.
Sample agenda and activities:Knowledge Ball©: this activity is facilitated as a way for students to set a goal and recognize the challenges and how to create success.
The path to higher learning: © The path seems easy but it’s the little details that make the difference.
The maze of peer information: © The maze is set up with only one way through. The route must be discovered through trial and error with input from others.
The knowledge pipeline: © Using some props the students must figure out how to
move the marble (Knowledge) to a point that represents graduation or other successes. The challenges are that the knowledge must always move forward and must never stop, fall or be handled by hand.
Debrief questions may include:
How do you decide who to listen to?
What had you make your own decisions?
Do you always follow others or lead?
Was your planning good enough?
Did you see possible problems before you started?
What were the challenges and how did you overcome them?
Other areas of learning- the value of support, planning, sharing and receiving information and the value of re-evaluating methods to reach goals
Note: All staff has background checks and currently work in several school systems
